Mobile phones in tunnels
In this day and age of mobile phones, there is no excuse for not keeping customers in the picture about unscheduled changes and on-site problems. Unless you use Mobile phones in tunnels, maybe.
Interestingly, a builder in Philadelphia had this amazing habit of losing his phone signal. It usually occurred when faced with a difficult question from a customer.
Just wondering where you have been for the last two weeks? Hello, hello.
He had a stock excuse about the line breaking up
I was driving through a tunnel.
Trouble is, from memory, there are only railroad and transit tunnels in Philadelphia!
Update April 2020
This is the first post ever published on Traditional Painter. It was the first step in sharing my knowledge about painting and decorating. The intention was to share 30+ years of hard earned experience, from marketing to product choice to costings to anything that could help the industry to professionalise. As I would later observe, post 2008, 95% of the UK trade was still stuck in the 80’s. Now at the time of Covid-19, the industry is just plain stuck. I hope that just as mobile phones have evolved into smart phones, the industry evolves smart decorating practices and be stronger post Covid.
Please share it on Twitter, Facebook, or print it out for reference. Thanks.
