With many bits added and taken away, this was certainly in need of some TLC

Day 1

Remove all handles & fittings.

Tape up with these great gadgets.

Wash down with baking soda wipes, which remove dirt & grime fairly easily.

In some cases, if there is a lot of grease, my high powered steamer blasts off all dirt & grease very quickly indeed.

vax degreaser

Rub down with soft sanding pads, which allows me to denib and abrade mouldings and corners easily.

Final wipe off with baking soda wipes.

First day, good progress has been made, despite the kitchen being in use most of the time. I stipulate the kitchen is my domain from 8.30 am to 4 pm. It will be in the coming days.
