A Little Greene kitchen and a lot of attention to detail – or Back in Black
MARTIN DUNN IS BACK!!! Oh yes, it’s that time of the year again when I switch the computer back on.
I’m more focused on period property decorating in Staffordshire these days, so I might not be doing as many hand painted kitchens as I used to, but I still get asked to do the odd one or two now and again. And let’s face it, apart from Traditional Painter Martin Guest or Ghostbusters, “who you going to call?” in the black country or Staffordshire to paint your kitchen?
This wooden Little Greene kitchen was completed back at the end of January/ beginning of February but I have only just received the photos of the kitchen back in action.
Always good to receive feedback from clients. They are the ones who really have the final word on what we and our service are like.
Hi Martin
I hope this finds you well.
I’m really sorry for the delay in sending these photos to you.
I love my kitchen just as much as I did when you finished it. Every time I go in it makes me smile.
Regards Pauline Ross.
A nice quote, unquote, I thought. This is what it looked like before.
A Little Greene kitchen, a lot of attention to detail
A pretty straight forward affair was carried out with the usual amount of preparation and attention to detail expected from a Traditional Painter.
Paints of choice were Little Greene oil based eggshell applied using my own arms and hands kindly supplied by me mother and god.
Out with the Old and in with the New.
And in with another new (colour)

After much deliberation as to whether to have new doors fitted to my solid wood kitchen or have them painted. I am sooooo glad I chose Martin and Matt to paint them. They are so professional.
They arrive early each day, only took 1 break and got on with the job in hand. All surfaces were securely protected and every care was taken. Unfortunately half way through I changed my mind about the colour I had chosen. This was not a problem, Martin ordered more paint in the revised colour and got on with it. I am really pleased with the finish and can’t wait to rearrange my cupboards. Thanks both for a great job. P
So that is what you have come to expect from a Traditional Painter isn’t it?
But what else do M Dunn Decorating offer you?
1. An unrivalled knowledge of pop music, and if only Ken Bruce would let us on Pop Master, the world would know our name.
2. Intellectual conversation which covers meaty issues of the day such as – “Was Tuckers luck as good as Grange Hill?”, “Who lived next door to Terry and June?” and “Is Ken Dodd’s dog dead?”
3. A choice of tasty snack time treats. Ask nicely and you may even get to try some – bring your own fork.
4. A discussion on the history of the Black Country. Ok it’s mainly about Willenhall, but feel free to join in.
5. Would Scooby Do take Hong Kong Phoey in a fight?
So what you waiting for? GhostBusters are retired now, but Mr Dunn and his Decorators (the painters and decorators not the skiffle band of the same name) are at the top of their game and ready to fight the good fight for excellence and a service that will make you smile. Ask nicely and they will even help you reach for a Pot Noodle or Minestrone and Croutons Soup, when you next have a hunger pang.
Please share it on Twitter, Facebook, or print it out for reference. Thanks.

Hi could you tell me what shade of little greene paint Pauline Ross’s kitchen is please? It’s exactly what I’m looking for. Many Thanks Leanne
Hi the colour was changed half way through, we think it was 146 Old Paper , not 100% though.
These tiny components can damage easily if a large amount of
