The Traditional Painter decorating forum is more of a library resource than a conventional chit chat platform, and is open to anyone with an interest in painting and decorating, regardless of their level of expertise.

Ladder Limb This was a review of a new attachment for ladder work. There was a good question about Health and Safety on ladders and as a result, we all learnt a thing or two – mainly Ladder Limb have done their homework!
Paint for stained glass window effect Traditional Painter, Mark Nash, answered that question pretty quickly.
Fairy Liquid as paint conditioner You wouldn’t believe what the old boys like Martin Dunn did with Fairy Liquid! And for clarification, because I didn’t know this either, Mark Nash grandfather taught him to add a drop of Fairy Liquid to water or oil based paint to prevent cissing.
Spray gun Vs brush for eggshell This was posted by a home decorator, who also asked the question over on Bib ‘n Brace forum run by Colin Taylor, who coincidentally covers Cornwall / Devon Traditional Painter kitchen work. By the end of the questions and answers, I think it had covered every angle from which conditioner is suitable for Farrow and Ball estate eggshell, to “How many coats have gone onto the cornice in question”…
