When it comes to refurbishing and hand painting kitchens & furniture there’s not much our local specialist Mark hasn’t had to do or carry out. Working across East, West Sussex & Surrey for many years. Marks specialty is upgrading 10-20 year old oak and pine kitchens. He also regularly carries out the hand painting to new installations. Mark was invited to join Traditional Painter way back when the brand was first established in 2012 and has since carried out many refurbishments under the Traditional Painter Brand.

Mark West the Traditional Painter for Sussex has recently completed a hand painted bespoke kitchen on a very large Georgian style new-build manor house in the heart of the Sussex countryside.Commissioned by Phillip Blount and Dave Franklin interiors.

Mark West repainted this beautiful Smallbone kitchen in Sussex. Lots of details, traditional colours, highest quality joinery and paintwork. This kitchen is good for many more years.
Smallbone kitchens set the trend
Back in the early 80’s Charlie Smallbone brought the Rolls Royce touch to the kitchen world. His kitchens were designed and built for life. They came with a price tag to suit that philosophy, but you got to live with a very special kitchen. The original Smallbone business has since been taken over, and Charlie Smallbone has moved on to even bigger, better things, but with a periodic new coat of paint, a Smallbone kitchen of any age is the gift that keeps on giving!

Send us photos for a quote for a repaint to an existing painted kitchen and bare woods like oak, pine, MDF & foil wrapped.
Try to take the photos in good daylight , one of the most important things to consider when taking photos is lighting. Make sure to hold your phone steady, the slightest shake could blur your image.
Complete Kitchen
You’re better to take several photos capturing the same image so you can be sure to avoid shake, blur , and any other issues that you’re likely to face. The photos should also show the scale of the kitchen if possible. You can select the best ones later before you email to us.
Wall by wall
We need to be able to see and count each door, drawer front and open shelf as well as any other parts of the kitchen like an over-mantle. Simply take a few photos of each wall and/or base units. If necessary take 2 or more photos of a long run, overlap if necessary, we can work it out.
Island
Take a photo of each side of an island making sure the angle you are taking it from will give you the best possible photos.
Damaged area
If there are any damaged areas, please take a close-up photo.
