About Me
I have been a professional painter and decorator for over 40 years and, together with my son John, provide a traditional family-run service built on quality craftsmanship, reliability and attention to detail. Based in Kenilworth, our business has earned a reputation for delivering beautifully finished hand-painted kitchens and furniture throughout Warwickshire and the surrounding counties.
While hand painting remains at the heart of what we do, I have also spent many years developing specialist knowledge in modern spray painting systems. By combining traditional decorating skills with the latest low and zero VOC paint technology, I can recommend and apply the most appropriate finish for every project.
My family business, RJ Taylor Decoration Ltd, has been established for more than 30 years, and I have been a Dulux Select Decorator since 1997. I am also the Traditional Painter Sprayed Finishes Consultant, advising homeowners and professionals on spray equipment, techniques and modern paint systems. My work has included developing spray applications for leading paint manufacturers and independently testing professional spray equipment.
Whether applying finishes by brush or spray, my aim is always the same: to achieve a flawless, durable finish while providing the friendly, dependable service you would expect from an experienced family business.

Please plan your kitchen painting project on the basis of approximately 12 weeks' lead time. If there is a cancellation or gap in the schedule, you may be offered an earlier start date.
