As a hand painted kitchen specialist and a master painter, I recently had the pleasure of completing a stunning kitchen project in Worcestershire. The kitchen, crafted by the renowned Hand Made Kitchens of Christchurch, was supplied in bare wood, presenting a blank canvas for what would become a dramatic and contemporary centerpiece.
The transformation began with meticulous preparation – an essential step in ensuring a flawless finish. Careful sanding, and the application of high-quality primers laid the foundation for the bold and timeless colour that was to follow. The chosen paint, Farrow & Balls Pitch Black , provided a rich , deep hue that exudes elegance and sophistication.
Each surface of this Christchurch kitchen was hand-painted with precision, a hallmark of my craft. The challenge and joy of this project lay in bringing out the best in kitchens designs, from its clean lines to its intricate detailing. The result was a sleek and refined aesthetic, perfectly complemented by striking marble worktops. The interplay between the dark cabinetry and the natural veining of the marble creates a strong contrast, adding drama and an unmistakable modern edge.
To further elevate the look, black handles were selected, blending seamlessly with the paintwork for a cohesive and understated yet powerful effect. Every detail was thoughtfully considered to ensure that the kitchen was not just functional but a statement of style.
