Questions to ask a contractor
In this day and age of impeccable website design, World’s Worst Builders and Rogue Traders, it pays to exercise some due diligence when inviting a company you don’t know, to quote for work on your property.
Below is a list of general questions I would ask if I were seeking quotes. You might want to print it off and have the contractor just write the answers (mainly Yes or No.) as part of the contract.

By answering Yes or No, a company is pretty much saying they are open to scrutiny. Which is a good thing. Be suspicious of any objections to being asked. If you exercise the option to actually see the proof for yourself, this is what you should expect to see.
